Free flow of information is very vital for ensuring transparency in different government activities including public procurement.
Md. Mesbahul Islam, deputy commissioner (DC) of Bhola, expressed the view while opening a day-long workshop titled “Future Search Conference” on public procurement at the conference room of Bhola DC office yesterday.
Organised by Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of the planning ministry, the workshop was facilitated by Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP), according to CPTU source.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Md Ismail Hossain, Bhola municipality mayor Md Muniruzzaman, Md. Aziz Taher Khan, director, Md Shafiul Alam, communication consultant of CPTU, also spoke at the workshop.
Supported and implemented by the World Bank and CPTU, the advocacy workshops are being arranged across the country under the public procurement reforms project-2 (PPRP-2). |
