| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The overall scope of work of the consulting firm is to assist Bridge Design Circle in enhancing its efficiency. The Consultants shall carry out their tasks with accepted professional standards, utilizing sound international engineering and economic practices.
Hence, the consultancy service includes carrying out the tasks mentioned below:
I. Reviewing of all relevant documents including topographical survey reports, sub-soil investigation reports, detailed design and engineering drawings, specifications, rate analysis etc.
II. Assisting in designing bridges/culverts and other road infrastructures as instructed by Project Director (PD).
III. Updating the existing bridge design/drawings compliance with recent code of practice.
IV. Assisting in preparing upgradation of bridge design, construction & maintenance related guidelines, manuals and standard code of practice.
V. Reviewing and check of designs/drawings submitted by the other consultants/ projects.
VI. Designing and vetting of Bridge Retrofitting works.
VII. Assisting in analysis of load rating of existing bridges.
VIII. Providing training and knowledge sharing to Bridge Design officials as per demand.
IX. Conducting site visit and report submission when situation demands.
X. Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports on all assigned activities.

| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

The interested consultants are required to have following experiences of rendering consulting services within last 10 years:
a. Experience of design & drawing of concrete Bridges having a length not less than 500 meters where the longer span is not less than 80 meters;
b. Experience of design & drawing of Steel Bridges where the longer span is not less than 80 meters in length.

d. General and overall experience of firm(s) (limited to 3 pages) and Experience of similar nature of services in last 10 years including procuring entity’s name, nature of services, contract amount, person-months, duration of the services with commencement and completion date;
e. Summary of permanent professional employees with key qualifications;
f. Audited financial statement (Balance sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Cash Flow Statement) for last 3 (three) years; and
g. Average annual turnover in last 3 (three) years.
