INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost for the Program for Supporting Rural Bridges (SupRB) and intends to apply a part of the proceeds to cover eligible payments under the contracts for providing consulting services by hiring a Sr. Program Management Specialist for the project as an individual national consultant.
The consulting services (“the Services”) includes but not limited to: (a) Preparation of an extensive implementation plan for the remaining works within the extended timeline; (b) Ensure Deployment/Redeployment/Extension of Service Packages and make them truly functional to ensure targeted output; (c) Ensure procurement of Goods within stipulated time to ensure optimum use; (d) Making RuBIMS practically operational through similar user interfaces of “Bridge Inspection and Condition Assessment Guidelines”; (e) Achievement of Civil and Process DLIs as per forecasted Projections; (f) Ensure integrated implementation of miscellaneous activities (such as, training, OHS, Environmental and Social Safeguard activities, Audit etc.) along with civil works.. Details are provided in the Terms of References (TORs) of the assignments.

The qualifications and experiences required for the assignments are:
Educational Qualifications:
• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or equivalent educational qualification from any recognized university/institution;
• Master degree in Construction Management/Project Management/Transportation Engineering /Structural Engineering or related discipline will be considered as an asset.
Experience:
• 15 (Fifteen) years' experience in construction project management activities including 10 (Ten) years' experience in any civil works management activities.
• Experience in foreign assisted projects is preferred;
• Adequate knowledge on national level Program (activities widely spread across country/spatially dispersed) monitoring activities.
• Computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) now invites eligible Applicants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Applicants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (complete CV with other details and expected remuneration).
The Consultants will be selected using the Selection of Individual Consultants method in accordance with “The World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, July 2016(Revised November 2020)”. It is expected that the services will be commenced on January, 2024 and shall be completed on 30 June 2025 or any other period if subsequently agreed by the parties at the office of the undersigned.
