"(S-01/PMU): PROJECT MANAGEMENT & CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION (PMCS) CONSULTANT : This assignment involves overseeing and supervising construction works for water supply projects in three hill towns and managing sanitation and solid waste in Bandarban and Lama. The primary responsibilities include ensuring high-quality construction in accordance with project designs and specifications and conducting material tests in accredited laboratories to meet the Government of Bangladesh's standards and tender/bid document requirements. This diligent oversight and compliance are integral to the successful implementation of these vital infrastructure projects, serving the communities effectively. This multifaceted role involves numerous responsibilities in construction management. It includes surveys and investigations to address issues, creating a QA&QC Manual for quality assurance, and vigilant quality monitoring. Additionally, tasks encompass reviewing work programs, interpreting specifications, overseeing construction, issuing 'Good for Construction' drawings, assessing methods and materials, verifying sources, and maintaining quality control.Other responsibilities involve documentation, bill certification, third-party inspections, 'as-built' drawing review, defect liability inspections, and supporting the Project Implementation Unit (PIU). This role also includes issuing completion certificates and ensuring Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance for safety and minimal disruptions. This role also involves comprehensive contract management and administration, including the preparation of a Contract Administration Manual to streamline procedures and assign responsibilities for various aspects of contract management. It also entails resolving contractual issues, monitoring construction plans, supporting the development of a Project Performance Monitoring System, evaluating claims and variations, monitoring contractor performance, offering guidance on contract agreements, and maintaining detailed documentation. This multifaceted role plays a crucial role in ensuring the project's successful execution and compliance with regulatory requirements. |
