INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Consultancy for detail architectural and engineering services with full time supervision in connection with design, land development and other related services for physical construction of Institute of Nanotechnology at Atomic Energy Research Establishment (AERE), Ganakbari, Savar, Dhaka.
Which includes-
• Conduct detailed digital topographic survey of the site including soil investigation and other necessary services.
• Preparation of architectural drawing with master plan (including boundary wall, Walk-way, approach road, fire pump room, fire water reservoir, landscaping, arboriculture, beautification, interior design & decoration, gate & gate house, other related works etc.).
• Laboratories setup with EMI shield, sound & vibration proof and seismic protection systems and other related necessary activities.
• Preparation of structural design, drawing (including design basis report).
• Design and preparation of drawings for Electrical sub-station, diesel generator, internal electrification, central air conditioning & ventilation system, fire detection and fire protection system including PABX, CCTV camera, network system all other electrical and electromechanical works. Preparation of design of gas line, plumbing & sanitary work.
• Preparation of technical specifications, schedule of items, bill of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, tender documents of the above mentioned works including civil construction, sub-station, diesel generator as per Standard Tender Documents (STD) under “The Public Procurement Regulations-2008”.
• Computer generated perspective view of the proposed building (3D).
• Room preparation for specialized laboratory and instrument (both architectural & structural).
• Total interior works for all the buildings which include detail working drawings for inbuilt gas line and cable, central A.C system, HVAC system, ventilation system, network system, TV system, fire fighting system & security alarm system, hot & cold water supply system, telephone line, intercom, internet (with wifi), close circuit camera etc. as required.
• Acoustical, sounding and sitting arrangement of multipurpose seminar hall, an auditorium for conference-seminar, a library, reception, lift lobby and related other works.
• Arboriculture, parking, walk-way, driveway, main gates and beautification work for all building’s surrounding.
• Supervision of the works throughout the project period. Make sure fulfillment of the construction as per design before handover to the project authority. |

To provide the consultancy services with design, drawing, tender documentation and full time supervision of the implementation works, the consultancy firm will have the following qualification and experiences:-
• The applicant must be an Architectural & Engineering Consultancy firm having at least 15 (fifteen) years professional experience, having B.Sc. Architects, B.Sc. Civil Engineers, B.Sc. Mechanical Engineers, B.Sc. Electrical Engineers personnel having at least 5 (five) years professional experience in the relevant field.
• The consulting firm should have at least 5 (five) years of working experience in successful planning, designing & implementation of project(s) (including preparation of master plan) in Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous sector. Within the completed projects at last one project must have one number of scientific laboratory cam office building.
• Certificate of a satisfactory planning, designing & implementation of a project as stated above should be furnished from at least an officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer/Equivalent Officer.
• Should have sufficient number of well experienced design Architect, Structural Design Engineer, Water Supply & Sanitary Design Engineer, Electrical & Mechanical Design Engineer in their pay roll.
• Should have up-to-date trade license, VAT registration with TIN number, latest income tax clearance certificate, bank solvency certificate from schedule bank of Bangladesh.
• Intended consultant firms are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services submitting their brochures, description of similar assignments, experiences in similar operating conditions, availability of appropriate professionals among staffs etc.
