On June 1, 2017, the number of tenders invited in e-GP was 100,031 since 2011 when the electronic government procurement was piloted in four large procuring agencies such as LGED, RHD, BWDB and BREB.

The Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of IME Division, Ministry of Planning, is implementing e-GP under a government directive to digitize public procurement in the country.
