The vision of the e-GP is to enhance the efficiency and transparency in public procurement
through the implementation of a comprehensive e-GP solution to be used by all government
organizations in the country. Initially, on pilot basis, this will apply to a few
Procuring Entities (PEs) of four target agencies namely Bangladesh Water Development
Board (BWDB), Rural Electrification Board (REB), Roads and Highways Department (RHD)
and Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), in Bangladesh. The System, later
on, will be rolled-out across all the procuring entities in a phased manner.
